Landscape, commercial, food, portrait - and all the possible combinations of these genres.
These are the topics that await you on this three-day seminar with the renowned photographer Christine Höflehner. The varied programme ranges from a professional advertising production for the Salzburger Land region to hikes at sunrise and sunset to a cosy afternoon of interior photography and an authentic snack in a 400-year-old mountain hut with an open fire.
There is a challenge for photographers of every level in this workshop! In addition, the latest Leica cameras can be borrowed for use during the workshop!

- Meet & Greet with Christine, Tina and Fabian
- Overview of the following days: theoretical introduction to photography, camera operation and image composition
- Dinner together or with the family
Friday, 19.09.2025
- Sunrise hike up the Schuhflicker - approx. 1 hour walk (good shoes, water bottle)
- Return to the hotel around midday, use of the wellness area
- Image editing and viewing of the images in Lightroom
Saturday, 20.09.2025
- Drive to the Liechtenstein Gorge
- Return to the hotel around noon - lunch together
- Hike to the Karseggalm - easy hike - mountain romance theme
- Sunset hike to the Schuhflicker - approx. 1 hour walk (good shoes, water bottle)
- Dinner together or with the family
Sunday, 21.09.2025
- Image processing and open Q&A session
- Final discussion and presentation of certificates
Good to know
- Should bad weather put a spanner in the works, there will be an exciting and varied alternative programme in the dry.
- The workshop can only take place if the minimum number of participants is reached.
- Please bring your own: additional SD memory card, laptop for image processing, good shoes, water bottle, tripod if necessary
Leica photo workshop in Großarl
Due to the small group size, we can respond to each participant individually and according to their ability and work out and answer all questions in direct dialogue. In this way, photo novices and photo enthusiasts can improve and expand their skills and knowledge.
The content of the workshop includes atmospheric depictions of nature, motif selection and image compositions, authentic portraits in the landscape, the shaping of light and the simple use of fill lights and flash lamps ‘on location’. The interplay of aperture, shutter speed and ISO sensitivity is practised in a playful way. Skilful image editing in Lightroom perfects the results.
With the best combination of a local guide and photography expertise, we will visit the best photo locations together. Throughout the workshop days, the Leica Akademie Austria team will be at your side with their knowledge, camera equipment, tips and tricks and will cater to your individual needs.
