The innovative use of hydropower and photovoltaics makes the valley almost energy self-sufficient and guarantees an independent power supply even in emergency situations - a perfect example of nature in action.

NATURAL DESIGN
Where cars used to park, wildflowers now bloom. The extended green spaces in front of the hotel create a harmonious connection to the alpine surroundings. INTELLIGENT HEAT UTILISATION
In the spirit of Natureness, no energy is wasted at the Nesslerhof. Our sophisticated system utilises waste heat efficiently:
REFRIGERATED ROOMS
The waste heat from our refrigerated warehouses for regional products is utilised several times:
- Heating the indoor and outdoor pool
- Heating the drinking water
- Operation of the underfloor heating
Annual savings: 100,900 kWh - equivalent to the energy consumption of 10 single-family homes
AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
The waste heat from the air conditioning system is utilised intelligently:
- In winter for heating the supply air
- In summer for natural cooling
Annual savings: 27,000 litres of oil and 71,000 kg of CO₂
WASHING KITCHEN
The waste heat from our tumble dryers supplies the outdoor pool with heat in summer.
Annual savings: 37,000 kWh
SUSTAINABLE WATER UTILISATION
Our own spring supplies high-quality water for:
- The natural pools
- Garden irrigation
This measure relieves the regional drinking water supply and conserves precious resources - Natureness in the water cycle.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY HEAT SUPPLY
Our modern wood chip heating system supplies the hotel with environmentally friendly district heating:
- Reduced CO₂ emissions
- Utilisation of renewable raw materials
- Avoidance of fossil fuels
REGIONAL CO-OPERATION
The remodelling work was carried out in close cooperation with local craftsmen. Our entire team was actively involved in the design of the new garden - proof of our strong community spirit and our real sense of nature.
